Pennsylvania Juvenile Case Management System

The Pennsylvania Juvenile Case Management System (PaJCMS) is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council of Chief Juvenile Probation Officers, the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission, the Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research, and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. The software application was developed using .NET and SQL technologies and assists in effective case management.  It enables juvenile probation offices to maintain electronic records of juvenile offenders, process allegations of delinquency, monitor compliance with conditions of supervision, and maintain juvenile-specific information.  The program includes "canned" letters, forms, and reports, and provides the means for development of customized documents. It is the primary method for reporting juvenile court dispositions to the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission for inclusion in the Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository through the Juvenile Tracking System housed by the Commonwealth's Justice Network (JNET).  It is also used to retrieve information for the annual Disposition Reports and Recidivism Reports.  Finally, given the robustness and richness of data collected, research entities from across the United States regularly contact the Commission for participation in data-related research projects.
